Tereasa Payne, Flutes/Ethnic Flutes/Woodwinds Tereasa Payne, Flutes/Ethnic Flutes/Woodwinds

Tereasa Payne is a versatile flutist/ethnic flutist/woodwind doubler who feels equally at home in various settings, such as the symphony orchestra, Broadway shows, and accompanying renowned artists in a multitude of genres. Tereasa's performances as a freelance flutist have taken her around her current homestate of Florida, as well as throughout the United States, Canada, England, Switzerland, and Italy.

 
Tereasa is a member of the Central Florida Symphony, the Seaside Music Theater Orchestra, the Southwest Florida Symphony, and the Craig Turley Orchestras (providing orchestras for touring Broadway shows and reknown artists). She also performs throughout the region as a soloist, chamber musician, and clinician. Ms. Payne is the founder of the Florida Chamber Musicians, where she works with a talented roster of professional musicians to provide chamber music for a variety of occasions, including weddings and corporate events.

 
Tereasa is proud to have studied with Marianne Gedigian at Boston University, Trygve Peterson at Arizona State University, Patricia Masek at Augustana College, and Cynthia Meyers (piccolo with the Houston Symphony) in Omaha, Nebraska. Ms. Payne uses the vast knowledge that she gained from these amazing teachers to work with her own students. She is the Adjunct Instructor of Flute and Chamber Music at both Bethune-Cookman College and Daytona Beach Community College.

 
Trained as a classical flutist, Tereasa has taken it upon herself to broaden her field of expertise by adding clarinet, saxophones, and ethnic flutes to her repertoire of instruments. These doubling instruments allow Tereasa to delve into many worlds of music, including classical, Broadway, jazz, and pop music. Tereasa has had the pleasure of collaborating with such artists as: Frank Sinatra Jr., Stephanie Powers, Dennis DeYoung of STYX, Sandy Duncan, Nestor Torres, Ralna English, Susan Egan, Sal Viviano, Bobby Vinton, Bebe Neuwirth, Robert Goulet, Shirley Jones, Marla Schaffel, John Vickery, Robert Evans, Conrad John Schuck, Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith.
