Siku

The Siku is the medium sized South American straight panpipes. Whereas the Romanian panpipes vary in diameter, wide to narrow as you go up the scale, the Siku's tubes are all the same diameter. This gives the Siku a more windy quality, emphasizing the overtones. Because of this, the Siku is used in a more percussive manner than the Romanian panpipes.
